Join nowWhen I print a balance sheet by class, one of the classes doesn't print the cash account, thus the balance sheet is out of balance. I tried to rebuild data, but that doesn't help. And it doesn't matter if it's cash or accrual basis. Both are out of balance. The other classes have their cash accounts on the balance sheet. I went back to the checks that were written and all are correctly classified to the class. Any ideas/solutions on why one class is not printing the cash balance on the balance sheet?
I can help you fix the error when trying to print your Balance Sheet by Class report, @du9.
You can re-sort your class list to resolve the error you're having when trying to print your Balance Sheet by Class report. It makes your lists go back to their default order that can resolve odd behaviors with your classes. Make sure to switch to single-user mode before doing this process.
Here's how:

Once you're done, try running and printing your report again. If you're still having an error, try running the File Doctor from the QuickBooks Tools Hub. You can check this article for detailed guidance: Names, items, or accounts are missing from centers, reports, or transactions.

MaryJoD - Unfortunately, none of the suggestions worked. I tried re-sorting the class list. When that didn't work, I re-sorted the other lists - Chart of Accounts, etc. I ran the QB File Doctor and everything was fine. It didn't find anything irregular. The cash still doesn't show up on the balance sheet for a specific class. If the cash account was reflected on the balance sheet, the balance sheet would be in balance. Any more suggestions that I can try?
