Our engineers recently tagged the Shortage Report showing incorrect amounts or blank as an ongoing issue in QuickBooks Desktop. The fix is in the works and were looking into getting it available as soon as possible.
This issue has something to do with pending builds handling. Our team is currently working to correct how pending builds are included in the calculations. For now, if you have pending builds, the amount on the report needs to be manually calculated.
To add you to the notification list of affected users, we recommend contacting our Support Team to give your account information. Once added, you'll receive live updates of the current status of the issue and its fixes.
Please be informed that we have updated our Support options for QuickBooks Desktop. Our representatives are available through chat to accommodate all our customers concern effectively. Always enable pop-up windows on your browser settings to launch the chat window and connect with our representatives.
To get our Support, follow the steps below:
- Open QuickBooks and click the Help menu.
- Select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
- On the pop-up screen select Contact us.
- Click the Search for Something else button then type your concern in the Ask us anything box.
- Hit Search then scroll down to get your contact options.
Another option to contact us is through the web. Here's how:
- Go to this link: https://help.quickbooks.intuit.com/en_US/contact
- Select QuickBooks Desktop then Continue as guest.
- Pick your QuickBooks version.
- The self-help topics are listed in the What can we help you with section.
- For live help use the Search for something else button.
Once connected, provide the following investigation number to our representatives INV-19434.
