Square income duplication

Having issues with quickbooks putting square deposits as both income and a separate catagory of square deposits.  It is making my income double by doing so in my profit and loss reports and so on. How do I fix this??

Square income duplication

Greetings, @csussex!

I'm here to help you fix the transactions from your Square app to QuickBooks and get this done in no time.

The Sync with Square app will automatically deposit your sales to its default account or the preferred account you chose in the app settings. Since you’re seeing duplicate income, it could be your bank is also integrated with QBO and the downloaded Square deposits were added to the register.

To correct your reports, you'll have to undo the matched/added transactions from your banks feeds, then exclude them. Here's how:

  1. Go to Banking.
  2. Choose your bank.
  3. Select the In QuickBooks tab.
  4. Locate and mark the deposits and click Undo under the Action column.
  5. Go to the the For Review tab, place a checkmark to exclude those transactions.
  6. From the Batch action drop-down menu, select Exclude Selected.

You can run your Profit and Loss report to ensure it shows the correct income amount.
