We've got some troubleshooting steps to show all the expense transactions when running the Profit and Loss report in the QuickBooks app, JIM239.
We need to ensure the P&L report is set correctly for the full fiscal year 2024 (from January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2024). Sometimes issues arise simply from incorrect date filters. If you are using QuickBooks Online (QBO) mobile app for Android, follow the steps below:
- Sign in to your QBO mobile app.
- On the homepage, tap the Menu icon.
- Tap the ALL tab and choose Profit & loss report.
- Click the report filter icon and choose the date range of the report you want to see.
- In the GRAPH tab, tap the points in the graph to see your income and expense details for the month.
- Hit the REPORT tab to see your income, expense, and gross profit breakdowns.

If expenses are still missing in the QuickBooks app, we can sign in to your QBO account through the web. Then, we can troubleshoot the issue from there since both data are always in sync. On the other hand, reconciling your Profit and Loss (P&L) statement is a critical process to ensure accuracy in your financial reporting. While there isn't an automated feature to reconcile the report, we can manually verify the revenue and expenses recorded in your accounting software match those in actual financial documents, such as bank statements, invoices, and receipts.
