The $ amount on my checks has stopped being printed

Suddenly this month the numerical value on the check has stopped being printed.  The written out value is printing fine.  All other fields are printing properly.  Just the numerical value is missing.  I can not find a "setting" where this can be checked or unchecked to be included on the printed check.

Any suggestions?

The $ amount on my checks has stopped being printed

Hello there, @Miltcook.

The numerical value should be included when printing a check. To correct this issue,

Let me share some troubleshooting steps that will help you print checks along with its numerical value.

There are times that possible Data damage or errors can remain undetected. In that case, you can run the Verify and Rebuild Data Utility tool to find these undetected errors in your company file. The Rebuild Data tool is built-in to QuickBooks Desktop and automatically fixes company file data issues.

To do that, here’s how:

  1. In your QuickBooks Desktop, go to the File menu. Then, hover over Utilities and select Rebuild Data.
  2. On the QuickBooks Information window, select OK. Follow the onscreen steps to save a backup.
  3. Let the tool repair your file. It may take some time. QuickBooks may seem stuck, but as long as you can move your mouse, the tool is working.
  4. When the tool finishes, select OK.
  5. Go to the File menu. Then hover over Utilities and select Verify Data.
  6. Let the tool check your file for data issues.

If QuickBooks finds an issue with your company file, select Rebuild Now.

I want to make sure that everything is set, so please let me know if you have any other issues or concerns. I'll get back to you as soon as possible. Have a good one!
