THE NEW BUTTON ON MY CHART OF ACCOUNTSPAGE IS MISSING. WHAT TO DO?

Glad to see you! @drjpsych-protonm. I'm here to help you troubleshoot so that you'll be able to see the missing button in your Chart of Accounts. 

 

There are times that your browser may have too much historical data from the previously visited websites which will slow down the internal process and cause unexpected behavior. Examples are missing icons, buttons, and not limited to non-responding programs. With the situation I've mentioned, I suggest performing the browser troubleshooting method to fix it.

 

Let's start by using an incognito browser when logging into QuickBooks Online (QBO) to avoid saving data. If you're able to see the New button, you can go back to the regular browser and clear the cache. An alternative way is to use another browser.

 

Here are the keyboard shortcuts to open a private browser:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari 11 or newer: + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox & Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
