The number on my invoices won't rollover to next number

Hey custommarble. Welcome to the Community!

There's a couple reasons why the invoice number won't rollover. It could be that the company file is damaged, or an issue with a QuickBooks component.

To rule out what might be happening here, I recommend opening a test company file to see if the invoice number will move after saving another one. Here's how to do it:
1. In the menu bar at the top, go to File, then Close Company.
2. From the No Company Open window that displays, go ahead and highlight a sample company file and Open it.
3. Create a test invoice, and save it.
4. Make a second test invoice, to determine if the invoice number changes automatically.

If it worked as it should, then we can conclude that it is a data issue with the other company file. You can go back to the original file you where you experienced the issue, and do a Verify and Rebuild. This will fix any data-related issues.
