NOPE - THIS STILL DOES NOT WORK. I HAVE TRIED CHROME AND FIREFOX IN PRIVATE, AND ALL I GET IS AN OFFER TO UPGRADE, I CONFIRM MY SUBSCRIPTION, THEN IT CIRCLES BACK TO THE MAIN MENU. PLEASE FIX THIS ASAP AND REFUND ME AT LEAST TWO MONTHS OF CHARGES SINCE I AM UNABLE TO USE THIS CRAPPY SOFTWARE. SO DISAPPOINTED IN THIS SOFTWARE. I SHOULD HAVE STUCK WITH THE DESKTOP VERSION. YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE SHOULD BE AVAIALBLE WHEN YOUR USERS ARE WORKING, WHICH IS ON THE WEEKENDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So disappointed with QuickBooks making people upgrade to do basic accounting tasks. I can't even open or pay previously entered vendor bills.
For $360/year you pretty much just get a basic check register.
When people buy the desktop version, which can be bought online for $300-1200) they can do all the functions.
I do the books for a small non-profit school program and we don't need much. But this is outrageous.
Guess it's time to check out the competition.
Use a separate bill payment app for free as I mentioned earlier and integrate it with QBO. You can also replace QBO later to integrate with it. Then you may purchase a 3rd party service to convert data from QBO.

I don’t even need to make online payments. Just need to do whatever good accrual accounting software should do. Enter vendor invoices when received and pay them when the check is sent out. As it stands, the basic subscription level doesn’t even let you manually enter vendor invoices or mark them as paid. Sad how they ruined a good software. To get the basic features they want you to pay $55-mo or $660/year.
For a small non-profit that’s a lot of money.
I don’t even need to pay the bills online. I just need to do whatever basic accrual accounting software should do. Enter vendor invoices when they are received, and mark them paid as the checks go out. I don’t even need to print the checks I just do it manually. But it seems that all the basic levels subscription does is cash accounting in a basic register. Sad how Quickbooks has ruined some thing that was really good.
I just downgraded my software after cancelling the awful live book keeping service, since I then only needed one user. Only to find out today- I can't even enter invoices/bills (or even vendor credit memos) without going up to the next level anyway. I agree that this is complete BS and all QB cares about is getting their money. I wish I had never switched from desktop. They need to do better. They know we don't have a lot of options so they just continue to charge more and more for what should be a fundamental part of the program/subscription. Zero stars, do not recommend going down this rabbit hole.
If you are using QBO Simple Start, use a 3rd party billing management app as I mentioned earlier as a workaround. Otherwise, consider switching back to QB Desktop.
