Transaction List by Tag Group Report

Currently, there isn't a Transaction List by Tag Group report in all QuickBooks Online versions, NCPC513.

You can go to the Banking page and run a report for tag groups. From there, you'll be able to see the type of report QuickBooks prepares for you.

Here's how:

1. Go to the Banking menu, then select Tags.
2. Find a group on the list.
3. Under the Action column, select Run report.
4. QuickBooks provides the Profit and Loss by Tag Group statement for you.

I'm trying to utilize tags but since there are only 2 reports that display them & they're disjointed, with neither offering detailed reporting, they're pretty useless. I know bills go to AP so listing that is absolutely useless. What I need is to see what account the expense was allocated to but it just shows "split" if there were multiple line items for a bill. Useless. Why can't we see tags in the GL report or other reports as well? It's not much of an added tool if its use is so very limited. I tried to click on feedback both in the online version of QBO & in the QBO app & it doesn't work in either. 

Once you separate the transactions, it shows in the report as split on the reports section, @macbooks. I'll lay out some details and a workaround to view the expense accounts in QuickBooks Online.

To see the detailed information for the specific transaction, we can click the "split" to route you to the next page. The page contains all the data on where payment comes from.

I also understand you require more functions of the on the reports tab. We can submit feedback again to our product developer. This way, they'll see your suggestion and consider adding it to the next program update.

Follow the steps below:

1. Go to the Gear icon.
2. Under the Profile column, press the Feedback button.
3. Write your product suggestion, then click Next.

Hi there. Thanks for your reply. Clicking on split for a year's worth or a quarter's worth of transactions to get to the detail for all of those transactions is not reasonable.
