Hi jaysplumbingserv,

The prompt message that you're getting is to authorize QuickBooks with "Full account access" for your webmail provider.

Please know that the QuickBooks Webmail feature is following the OAuth protocol. This protocol is an open standard for access delegation and used by some companies, such as Google, to permit the users to share information about your account with third-party applications or websites.

To connect your Gmail with QuickBooks Desktop, enable the 2-Step verification first by following these steps:

  1. Visit Google 2-Step Verification
  2. Scroll down and select Get Started.
  3. Sign in to your Gmail account.
  4. Click to enable the 2-Step Verification and enter your phone number under Voice or Text Message. This will be used to receive a numeric codes from Gmail, which is needed to authorize access to other third-part apps.
  5. Choose Send Code.
  6. Enter the verification code send from Google and click on Done.
  7. Follow the on-screen instructions to successfully enable the 2-Step Verification process.

Then, you can now connect your email to QuickBooks Desktop.

Keep me posted if you have any follow-ups or other concerns. I'll be here to help. Have a good one.

Good work for doing the steps my colleague provided, FMclendon. I've checked our records and saw an open investigation.

While we're waiting for a fix to be rolled out, we have a few steps that you can try to fix the issue.

First, let's turn on the access for less secure apps.

Then, uncheck the enhanced security feature. Here's how:

  1. Click the Edit menu, then select Preferences.
  2. Go to Send Forms, then go to My Preferences.
  3. Click Web Mail.
  4. Click Add/Edit.
  5. Uncheck the Use enhanced security box, then click OK.
  6. Click OK again.

Next, disable the firewall, and restart your computer.

Lastly, try to send the invoices again.

I'll include the article on how to fix webmail password issues in QuickBooks Desktop for future reference.

I also suggest getting in touch with our customer care support. This will help us know how many users are affected. Here's how:

  1. Click Help.
  2. Select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  3. Click Contact Us.
  4. Enter "Sign in with Google is temporarily disabled for this app error when emailing an invoice" in the description field, then click Continue.
  5. Select either Message an Agent or Talk to a Specialist

We're here to lend a hand if you have other concerns.
