Trying to show Time by Job Detail to include client pricing from an Item Price List

I'm looking for a way in Quickbooks Enterprise to show a report containing the current time applied to that job, and then also including what the cost to the client would be. We bill based on hours and work codes, which we have as an item price list, but I haven't found a way to combine the two. The only reports I've found show project costs, but use the employees payroll rate and not billable hour rate.

Trying to show Time by Job Detail to include client pricing from an Item Price List

Welcome aboard to the Intuit Community, NSmachi1463.

The good news is, you can use the Advance Reporting to create a report that will show all the information you need. This feature allows you to add groupings, calculated columns, build dashboards that include reports as well as charts and graphs.

To enable the tool, I have to verify your account and access the company file. I’m unable to perform the process for security reasons.

I recommend reaching out to our Technical Support Team since they have extra tools to activate the Advance Reporting for you. Here’s to get in touch with them:

  1. Let’s go to the Help section of the company file to see the contact details.
  2. Choose QuickBooks Desktop Help to open the Have a Question window.
  3. Hit the Contact us link to see the Contact Us screen.
  4. Tap the Search for something else link and key in the issue in the field box.
  5. Press Search to display the Start a Message menu.

For future reference, the following links provide an overview of how to create a report template from scratch and a video to visually guide you.

Let me know if you need further assistance in using the product. I’m always ready to help you. Enjoy the rest of the day.
