Updating description in an already charged invoice to update my trip ID. "You've attempted to invoice for a charge, credit... that does not exist or has already been..."

If you have the Merchant Service enabled in your QuickBooks account, you can reach out to the Merchant Support Team. They can check to see if there's a way to update the invoice without getting this error.

Or else, we can do troubleshooting steps to get this fix. 

 

Here are the steps:

  1. Open an incognito or private browser.
  2. Log in to your QuickBooks account.
  3. Try to update the invoice with your trip ID. If you can save it successfully, go back to your regular browser and clear the cache.

Let's also try opening your QuickBooks account in a different browser such as Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Safari.
