I have a setup for a non-profit/charitable society that needs to be customized where I think Projects will play a key part. In this regard:
- Are there restrictions to the number of projects that can be created for a Customer?
- Are there any restrictions to the number of Expenses that can be created for each project?
The Society receives Applications for Medical Aid and Bursaries. Once Applications are approved payments are then made to the Institutions (Medical facilities or Education institutes such as Schools, Colleges etc or sums reimbursed direct to the Beneficiaries). We need to track the payments made to the Institutions/Beneficiaries as the case may be as well as which Beneficiary benefited.
I am thinking of creating Vendors for the Medical/Education Institutes. Then create a Customer called Beneficiaries under which I would create Project for each Beneficiary. Then when making cheques/payments, the Payee would be the Vendor or Project (Beneficiary) as the case may be and in the Expense Category line the Expense allocated to the Project (Beneficiary).
I would then run reports to get the desired information. I am looking at creating thousands (1000s) of Beneficiaries as Projects. I want to ensure that I do not run into any limit issues with QBO (QBO Plus, UK Version).
