Vi are in urgent need of using the funktion of Late fees. Would you please make the funktion Both in general and for adding late fees and interests on existing invoices.

Thank you for reaching out to the Community, @Hoxer.

Currently, not all customers will have the option to turn on automatic late fees. We'll be expanding the feature to more customers in the coming months. However, there are two options for you to record this: it’s either create a second invoice or adding a finance charge line item to the existing invoice.

To set up late fees, you must be logged in as the master administrator or company administrator.

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Account and Settings.
  3. Go to Sales
  4. Select Late Fees.
  5. Check the box to turn on late fees.

If you cannot see the feature for late fees on your end, please follow the steps below:

Create an invoice for an additional charge:

  1. Select the Plus icon (+) on the Toolbar.
  2. Under Customers, choose Invoice.
  3. Fill out the invoice with the necessary information.
  4. From the Product/Service drop-down, choose the finance/service charge or late fee item.
Note: If you don't have an item for additional charges, select Add new from the Product/Service item drop-down. Choose the appropriate type, then fill out the Product/Service information form.
  5. Enter the amount of the charge.
  6. Select Save and close.

Add an additional charge on an existing invoice.

  1. From the left menu, select Sales, then Customers.
  2. Select the name of the customer to view the transaction List.
  3. Find and select the invoice.
  4. In the next unused line on the Product/Service section, choose the finance/service charge or late fee item.
Note: If you don't have an item for additional charges, select Add new from the Product/Service item drop-down. Choose the appropriate type, then fill out the Product/Service information form.
  5. Enter the amount of the charge.
  6. Select Save and close.

Feel free to drop a comment if you have any other concerns about adding late fees. Have a great day ahead!
