We just switched from desktop to online. Our files were to large so we just got journal entries and lists transferred over but they keep showing up as overdue. Is there a way to get them off our listing or apply them to each other - adjust them?

We switched over from desktop to online .  Our files were to big for the transfer so we just got journal entries of balances.  They show up as total billing and payments and are marked overdue.  How do I get them to apply toward each other so they stop showing up on reports

Hi JohnChemungsoftwater,

You'll have to link all invoices and bills to the available credits so they won't show as overdue. This helps close all open transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Here are the steps to link the credit transaction(s) to your invoices:

  1. Click on the + New button.
  2. Select Receive payment under Customers.
  3. Choose the customer's name.
  4. Link all outstanding invoices to the credit transaction by placing a checkmark. 4.PNG
  5. Once done, click on Save and close.

To apply a vendor credit to a bill:

  1. Click on the + New button
  2. Select Pay bills.
  3. Choose a bill for your vendor from the list. You'll see the available credit with this vendor in the Credit Applied field.3.PNG
  4. Once done, click on Save.

You can learn more through these articles on how to manage credit transaction from a vendor or customer:

I've also added a link that you can learn more about navigating QBO: Getting started with QuickBooks Online.
