Let me be the first to welcome you in the Community, @dhuseman.

Yes, you can certainly add an estimate or any other transactions for a project without emailing your client. When creating the transaction, just be sure to choose Save and close after entering all the details.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Projects on your QuickBooks Dashboard.
  2. Locate and select the project.
  3. Click the Add to project tab and choose Estimate.
  4. Enter all the necessary details.
  5. Click Save and close when done.

When adding estimates to projects, you can also use progress invoicing to create multiple invoices from a single estimate. You can check this link to learn more: Set up and send progress invoices in QuickBooks Online.

Know that I'm always here to help if you have other questions. Have a great day!
