Webmail Authentication Error

When adding an email to send forms with, using Webmail, I receive the below error. I feel like I've tried everything under the sun to get this fixed, including spending 2 hours on the phone with QB support..

Edit > Preferences > Send Forms > Webmail > Enter email address > Enter password > Error

I have checked and double checked; the password is correct -- I verified by logging into the account via chrome.

Webmail Authentication Error

Let's get rid of the error so you can email invoices to customers, MEE218.

The first step you can take is to update QuickBooks to the latest release. Let me show you how:

  1. Go to the Help menu at the top and pick Update QuickBooks Desktop on the drop-down.
  2. On the Options tab, click Mark All, then Save.
  3. Then go to the Update Now tab and mark the Reset Update box, then select Get Updates.
  4. Once done, close and rerun QBDT.

After that, try to set up again your email. If you're still getting the error, please refer to this link: Fix webmail password issues in QuickBooks Desktop. Then, follow the Step 2 and instructions.

Once done, connect again your email so you can send invoices to customers.

If you encounter any error messages when sending invoices, please check out this article for additional troubleshooting options: Fix Error: Could not connect to the email server.

Let me know if you need more help with setting up your webmail. I'll be around until you're able to send invoices.
