Hi, trupower2015.

Let me share some clarification with posting payments.

The account where payments and processing fees are posted depends on the set up in the account. To make sure the right deposit account is set, check the bank account designation in your QuickBooks Online by following these steps:

  1. Click the Gear icon located in the upper-right hand corner.
  2. Under Your Company, click Account and Settings.
  3. On the left menu, click Payments.
  4. In the Recording Accounts section, click the Edit icon.
  5. In the drop-down for Where should we record Payments deposits?, select the account you want.
  6. Click Save.

After that, you can correct the payment posting account from the Chart of Accounts. Here’s how:

  1. From the Accounting menu, select Chart of Accounts.
  2. Pick the wrong account, then click View register.
  3. Choose the payment from the list of transactions, then tap Edit.
  4. Change the posting account.
  5. Once done hit Save and close.

Meanwhile, issues with tax payment being posted to the wrong account require help from our Payments Support to locate the transaction and check for options on how to get it back. They're available every 6:00 AM-6:00 PM Monday-Friday and 6:00 AM-3:00 PM Saturday.

I've attached articles you can use to record credit card payment and make bank deposits:
