When an invoice is paid with a credit card, how do you record the credit card expense and show the invoice paid in full at the same time?

Ex: $100 amount invoiced, but only received $96.50 payment, $3.50 being deducted by credit card company.

When an invoice is paid with a credit card, how do you record the credit card expense and show the invoice paid in full at the same time?

1. create an Expense transaction for the fee, and use Undeposited Funds as the bank

2. create a Receive Payment for the full amount, and use Undeposited Funds as the bank

3. create a Bank Deposit and check off the above 2 items (the fee is a negative), which should net to the actual amount deposited
