When clients pay their invoices, via bank transfer, I do not receive their payments until up to two weeks after they have paid. It used to take two to three days, is it taking two weeks for anyone else?

Hello there, @stroup-hailey-92.

Let me provide further details about the funding time deposit of QuickBooks Payments.

Funds usually reach your deposit account 5-7 business days, however, it varies depending on the following factors:

  • Time of the day you enter transactions.
  • Weekends and bank holidays.
  • Financial institutions you choose your transactions to be deposited to.
  • How long it takes for your bank to verify and process electronics.

The cut off time for deposits is 3 pm PT and payments processed after that go into the next day's deposit. Therefore, transactions that were processed via Payments are being batched on a daily basis and funded on a particular number of days.

If it's still undeposited, I'd suggest contacting our Merchant Services Team. They'll investigate what causes the delay in receiving the deposits.

I have articles here about QuickBooks Payments Deposits:

Thank you for joining in the thread, @Ktpscleaning.

Let me share a few things about how payments work if you're using QuickBooks Self-Employed. If you're viewing the payment on the Invoices page, you'll have to mark this as paid. I've attached a screenshot for your reference.

However, if you're referring to your Banking page, you will need to track the payment manually. In QuickBooks, all deposits that go through depends on the information we received from the bank. If your client's payment is still not showing after attempting to locate it, you'll have to contact your bank to check its status.

If you're using QuickBooks Online, I'd recommend checking out the articles provided by my colleague above for more information. For deposits that are taking longer than usual, I'd recommend reaching out to our Merchant Services Team to check and verify the payment status.

Let me know if you have other questions or concerns. I'll be around to help however I can. Have a nice day!
