There are times that the browser you're using is full of frequently accessed page. This will cause some unusual behavior of the system like unable to pull up the sales receipt.

 

Let's isolate this by logging in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account using a private browser. This is a special mode where the browser doesn't record the browsing activity. Here's how:

  • Press Ctrl Shift (Google Chrome)
  • Ctrl Shift (Firefox or Internet Explorer)
  • Control Option (Safari)

 

Once done, go back to your customer's account and add the payment through sales receipt. If it works, return to your default browser and clear its cache and cookies to refresh the system.

 

If the issue persists, I'd recommend using other supported browsers to perform your task in QuickBooks.
