I can share some troubleshooting steps so that you can get back to work, @accounting50.
When we use the browser, we may run into trouble with the browser's cache. Occasionally your browser will load your cached info instead of updated portions of the page that you are desiring to view. This can cause a slowdown, error, or unusual behaviors in QuickBooks.
We can start by accessing your account in a private browser. This mode doesn't save your searches, visited pages, log in details, and cookies.
Here's are the shortcut keys:
- Ctrl + Shift + P (Internet Explorer or Firefox)
- Command + Shift + N (Safari)
- Ctrl+ Shift + N (Google Chrome)
Once done, let's try to split an expense again to double check it. If it's working fine, we'll have to go back to your regular browser and clear the cache to delete the junk files. Every so often the cache becomes overwhelmed with older data which can potentially cause viewing and performance issues. Clearing it will refresh the system, and you'll be able to work with clean trash. However, if the issue persists, try using other supported browsers.
