Buy nowHello there, @abigail7.
Let me be the first to welcome you to the QuickBooks Community. I can share some information regarding the Pay Now button in your invoices.
Most of its unexpected behavior is usually browser-related. For us to verify, you can access your account via a private browser. It is a browser setting that does not store any add-on applications.
Here are the different keyboard shortcuts to open a private browser:
If it works fine, you can clear the cache. It will delete your temporary browsing history, thus, fixes QBO issues. Accessing your account using a different browser can be an option, too.
Here's a great article you can check to know more about adding the payment link on your invoice: How to let my customer pay their invoice online
You can also check this article on how you can send invoices to your customers in QuickBooks Online: Send an invoice.
You can also refer to this article to customize the invoice you send to your customers through QuickBooks Online: Customize your invoice emails.
Don't hesitate to post again if you have other questions about invoices in QuickBooks. I'm always here to help.
Actually it turns out it is not browser related but expected action when sending out invoices via batch actions. Your software ignores the payment settings when sending invoices by batch actions and only allows for review and print.
The solution given by your payment chat agent was to edit each individual invoice, turn the payments for credit cards and bank transfer back on manually and resend the invoice.
Why batch actions would ignore the default settings for invoicing is surprising. I understand the issue is in review and will be updated in a future release. It is disappointing that this has been allowed to exist for so long.
