Happy Friday! Welcome to the Community.
When you sign in to QuickBooks you will have the option to select any company that is associated with your User Id.
If there are inactive or canceled companies in your list, and they are over 60 days old, they will automatically be removed after 1 year. There isn't an option or remove them from the list prior to that time.
Here is a great reference guide: Get started and adjust settings after you sign up for Quickbooks Online
Feel free to let me know if you have any additional questions about your QuickBooks. We're happy to help anytime!
Good morning Monica,
Thank you so much for help me with thus information!. I got your back, @claudia30.
In QuickBooks Online (QBO), you’ll have to cancel the subscription to remove or close an account. This will remove the account from the list of your active companies. I'm here to guide you how:
For your reference about the process, feel free to open this article: Cancel your QuickBooks Online subscription or trial. This also provides steps on how you can reactivate the cancelled account.
Additionally, if the company is less than 60 days old, you have the option to delete the data. I'd recommend visiting this article for the detailed instructions: Delete your data and start over in QuickBooks Online.
QBO also has a compilation of how-to videos that will further guide you in optimizing your navigation. These include topics that start from setting up a company to running payroll for your employees.
I'm always around in the Community if you have any other questions about removing or closing accounts in QBO. Please add your comment below. Have a great week ahead.
