Let's ensure that you'll be able to upload the receipt to your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) company, @jamestsmall.

 

The spinning wheel you encounter when performing the process might be caused by a cache-related issue. This is a component of your browser that helps websites to load faster but sometimes gets corrupted and results in problems. To verify, let's access your QBSE account using an incognito mode to have a clean slate. Below are the shortcut keys you can use:

 

  • Google Chrome: Press CTRL + Shift + N.
  • Safari: Press Command + Shift + N.
  • Microsoft Edge: Press CTRL + Shift + N.
  • Mozilla Firefox: Press CTRL + Shift + P.

 

Once signed in, upload the receipt again. 

 

If this works, I recommend clearing the cache of your regular browser to eliminate damaged cache. If the same thing happens, I suggest using another supported browser or device. Might be that the current one your using has a temporary issue with QBSE.

Thanks for getting back here, @jamestsmall. I'm here to provide information about the upload receipt issue in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE).

 

Currently, there's an ongoing issue about getting a loading wheel that only keeps spinning when uploading the receipt. Rest assured that our product engineers are aware of this and dedicatedly find a solution to fix it.

 

In the meantime, there are several workarounds you can use to successfully upload receipts. One is to upload it using the receipt forwarding option or use your mobile app.

 

I also recommend reaching out to our Customer care team to report this issue and add your account to the list of the affected users. Once linked, you'll be able to receive notification about this via email. Let me guide you on how:

 

  1. In your QBSE company, select the Assistant tab.
  2. Next, type Talk to a human.
  3. Then, enter your concern.
  4. After that, choose either Get a callback or Start a chat.
