Hello, Archer! It's wonderful to see you make your first post in the Community! Viewing sales reports can help you monitor your trading performance and business growth. I'm here to clear things up and identify why you encounter a permission error while trying to do so in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Your company might have set some restrictions on your access to particular areas in QBO when you were added as a user. It could explain why you’re unable to view the detailed sales data. I recommend reaching out to the company admin to update your role (for example, Standard user with limited rights to customers and vendors) so you can generate this record.
To manage your permissions, share these steps to the administrator:
- Go to Settings or the Gear icon and choose Manage users.
- Find your name or the user they want to edit and hit Edit in the Action column.
- Change the role from the Roles dropdown. Pick the account management settings you want to manage.
- Select Save changes.
Right after, sign out and then log back into QuickBooks Online to see the updates.
