Hello there, cody5.

I'm glad you've reached out to us. Allow me to help and provide some insights about printing paychecks in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

QBO has two layouts when printing pay stub and checks. One is the Preprinted QuickBooks®-compatible voucher check stock, and the second one is the Plain paper stubs (to accompany handwritten checks)

You can setup your Paycheck Printing by following the steps below:

  1. Click the Gear Icon.
  2. Go to the Payroll Settings
  3. Under Preferences, select Paychecks Printing.
  4. On the Paycheck Printing Settings, select an option on how would you like to print your pay stubs and checks.
  5. Once done, click OK to apply the changes.

However, if you want to use a different layouts when printing paychecks in QBO, I encourage you to send feedback directly to our product developer for future updates.

Here's how you can send feedback:

  1. Click the Gear Icon.
  2. Select Feedback
  3. Click Next and choose Feedback under Category option.
  4. Select Save.

For future reference, you can check this article on how to align preprinted paychecks
