Where are the attachments in the former Sub-customer accounts that were converted into Projects? We need it badly.

Attaching Contracts or Purchase Orders in the Sub-Customer accounts' Customer Details is part of our process. However, when we converted the sub-customer accounts to projects, the attachments are all gone. We need it back badly because it has become part of our process and we use those attachments as reference.

I appreciate you for providing complete details about your concern about attachments, Ruben.

I'll make sure you're able to locate the attachments of your sub-customer accounts. This way, you can keep track the details of your transactions for future reference.

Yes, you're correct. Once you convert your sub-customer to a project, the attachment linked to his/her profile will be removed. However, you can find the said attachment in the Attachments menu in the Gear icon.

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Attachments under the List column.
  3. Locate the name of your sub-customer in the Links column.
  4. You can select the Download link under the Action column to download.
  5. Click the drop-down arrow under the Action column for more options like Edit, Delete, Create invoice, and Create expense.

I've attached screenshots below for your reference.

If you wish to move specific transactions to a project, kindly refer to Step 4: Add existing expenses and timesheets and Step 5: Add existing invoices and estimates in this article: Set up and create projects in QuickBooks Online

Please let me know if you have other concerns. I'm just around to help.
