I can guide you on where to check the status of the filing you've made through QuickBooks. You can go to your 1099 E-File account to identify if the form is showing as Not Submitted, Submitted, or Received by IRS.
Once the forms are submitted, contractors should receive a confirmation email approximately a week after the IRS accepts and confirms submissions. Also, I suggest reviewing the contractor's profile to ensure information such as the email and physical address is correct.
Here's how:
- Click the Employees tab.
- Scroll down to the Contractors tab, then click the name.
- Hit Edit in the Contractor info section.
- Check the Email field to your preference.
- Click Save.

- Click the Help icon at the top to open the Search window.
- From there, scroll down to choose the Contact us button.
- Input the issue /topic in the field box and then tap the Let’s talk option.
