Where do I go to see the message I wrote to a customer when sending an invoice via email inside QBO?

Hi there, @jeffs2.

Allow me to guide you on where to find the message that are written on your customers' invoices upon sending them.

You can view the message that you've added to your customer's invoice from the Accounts and Settings section of your account.

Let me walk you through on how to get there:

  1. Click the Gear icon.
  2. Select Account and Settings.
  3. From the Menu ☰, select Sales.
  4. In the Messages section, select the edit (pencil) icon.
  5. Place a tick in the box next to Use greeting, then from the drop-down choose your ideal greeting.
  6. In the Sales Form drop-down, select Invoice.
  7. For the Subject and Email message, you can view the verbiage in the box that is provided or you may change it.
  8. After you've made all the appropriate changes to the message, select Save.
  9. Select Done.

However, if you're referring on the message that you wrote on the invoice template, you can view this by going into the template that you've used.

To do that:

  1. Click the Gear Icon.
  2. Select Custom From Styles.
  3. From the New Style drop-down, choose Invoice
  4. Select Content.
  5. On the right side option, select the third pencil icon.
  6. The message that is added on the invoice cab be found in the Add footer text box.
  7. Press on Done if you're done viewing it.
