Once there's an existing item created, you should be able to add it directly on the invoice or estimates. When you click the drop-down menu, you'll see the list of products you want to use for the transaction. Please take note that you still have an option to create a new one from there.
In this case, we can troubleshoot this one and identify if this behavior is causing by having too much cache in a browser you're using. You can start by accessing your QuickBooks account in a private/incognito browser.

Once you're in, go back to your invoice or estimates. If it's working fine, we'll have to go back to your regular browser and clear the cache to eliminate the junk files. You can also use other supported browsers as an alternative.

It does work when I am in incognito mode. I have cleared my cache and it still doesn't work in my usual browser. What's next?
