Most of the transactions created in a project are not paid on time. This is why you're unable to create a Sales Receipt from the Projects page. You'll have to use the New (+) menu or the Sales window to add the transaction.
While we're unable to filter the Sales Receipt in the Transactions page, you can run a Transaction List by Customers. Then customize the report by following these steps:
- On the left panel, click Reports.
- Select the Report period, and click the Customize button.
- Click the Filter drop-down and select Sales Receipt from the Transaction Type drop-down menu.
- Choose the project from the Customer drop-down list.
- Click Run report.
