I've replicated this on my QuickBooks Online (QBO) sample file, and I'm having the same result which I'm not able to search a name or details with an apostrophe. In this case, I recommend sending feedback directly to our product developers for consideration in the future update.

I highly suggest using QuickBooks desktop which does not have these sorts of issues, especially in light of this Intuit response to your bug report.
