Why did they remove some of the features w/ the new software update?

The estimates that I email now are sent as a PDF attachment, when before it was a link that the customer would click and approve.  Then I would get a email notification that my estimate was approve, that was a huge change.  Also it would let us know when the estimate was "viewed", opened by the customer.  The latest update was a downgrade.  I have more issues to be address but this was key.  Very disappointing

Why did they remove some of the features w/ the new software update?

Let me share some information about estimates and how it works in QuickBooks Online (QBO), ed.sugar@gmail.c.

I know how beneficial it is to your business to know if a customer opened or viewed an estimate. However, this option is unavailable in QBO. For now, we can only ensure that the estimate was received by your client where the Last Delivery indicator will appear below the Customer and the Email fields. Let me show you how:

  1. Go to the Sales menu.
  2. Select All Sales.
  3. Locate the Estimate transaction then open it.
  4. Below the Customer's name, the Last Delivery indicator will show if the transaction is already sent together with the date and time you send it.

I'd recommend sending this request straight to our product engineers through feedback. Sharing features and options that you would like implemented is how our engineers look for new product updates. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon at the top.
  2. Select Feedback.
  3. Enter your comments or product suggestions.
  4. Then select Next to submit feedback.

You'll want to check for a third-party application that can help you with this one. You can check out the apps that are compatible with QuickBooks at this link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/app/apps/home/. We can also do it in QBO by following the steps below:

  1. Go to Apps.
  2. Click Finds Apps.
  3. Type estimate in the Search for an app field (see screenshot below)
  4. If you have found the app you're looking for, just click Get App Now.

You can also check the reviews from the customers to help you decide on the third-party app that suits your needs. I'm adding these articles to know more about estimates and how to personalize sales forms:

Feel free to browse this link here in case you need help with other tasks in QBO. It has our general topics with articles that'll guide you along the way.

I'll be right here to continue helping if you have any other concerns or questions about QuickBooks. Assistance is just a post away. You have a good one.

Please go back to the way things were a few months ago, why take those options away and then an increase in membership fees?

Why did they remove some of the features w/ the new software update?

Because QBO is terrible.  I am on my last leg with this company.

Changes that people have requested and been requesting for years (See my post from 4 years ago) go unanswered.

But hey we got new menus and a new look!  Smoke and Mirrors!!!  Good job Intuit you didn't fool anyone again.
