There are times that unusual behavior happens in QuickBooks Online because of the stored cache and cookies. Let's start by accessing your account in a private window to determine if this is the case. This mode prevents browsing history from being stored.
Here's are the shortcut keys:
Once working, we'll have to go back to your regular browser and clear the cache to free up storage space and boost your operating system performance.
However, if you continue to get the same result, I suggest using a different browser.

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried all of that, and it's doing the same thing, reverting back to the original order. Issue not resolved. Any other ideas?
Hello there, @getmore1.
When you're using the reorder account from the banking section, ensure that your bank account is connected to QuickBooks Online (QBO).
In the meantime, banks that are not connected online will not show up in the reorder account, nothing will happen after you Save.
I've added this article about banking and bank feeds for your reference.
Let me know if there's anything else you need help with. I 'm always here for you. Have a great day.
All of the accounts are connected, and I have tried the suggestions. Is this just a glitch that can't be fixed, or is there something else I can try?
Chiming in to share some help about accounts, getmore1.
I replicated this and tried to reorder the accounts. They stay the same even if I signed out.
I recommend contacting our Customer Support Team since the steps mentioned by AileneA doesn't make any difference. This way, what you're experiencing will be reported and will be fix immediately.
You can always visit our Help page for more articles about banking. Use them as your guide in handling banking concerns.
Keep your posts coming if you need anything else. I'll be right here to help.
Ha! Glad to hear that I am not crazy. I will call customer support and see if I get anywhere. I think I did a long time ago, and it didn't help or get fixed. I am only really concerned now, because I added a couple of accounts to the list, and it's frustrating when there are so many not in a logical order. Thanks!
I also have this issue where bank accounts don't stay in the new edited order after I resort using Google Chrome browser. I tried the cache clearing approach detailed here, but it did not resolve. I also tried using Mozilla Firefox with no success. Random ordering continues. Any additional thoughts on resolution? Thanks.
Mine stays as well, harrisrs.
I appreciate that you've tried all the steps in the previous replies. However, it would be best if you can contact our Support to check this further. They can see your setup using a screen-sharing tool, and make a report about this behavior.
Alternatively, you can run a report for the register, sort it the way you want, and save your customization.
