Why my customers receive the invoice twice in the email? I mean two emails of the same invoice.

Does this happen to all of your customers? If no, it's possible that the invoice was sent twice to some of your customers. In this case, you can ask them to disregard the duplicate invoice.

 

However, if all of your customers are receiving the invoice twice, I suggest performing some basic troubleshooting steps to check if it's the browser that's causing this behavior.

 

Let's start by accessing your account through a private browser or incognito window. This is a good place to start the troubleshoot since this type of browser doesn't store cache.

 

You can refer to the following keyboard shortcuts below:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

Try sending an invoice to your email to test it. If it works, go back to your original browser and clear the cache to make sure your browser functions more efficiently. Otherwise, you can try other supported browser to help narrow down the cause of this behavior.

Let's resolve the error you're having with your invoices, @PAT0511

 

There may be some minor data issues with your company file that's why your invoices are sent twice. Try running the Rebuild and Verify Utility tool to fix possible data damage on your company file.

 

Please follow the steps below:

 

  1. Open your company file again.
  2. Go to the File menu, then select Utilities and choose Rebuild Data.
  3. Click OK in the QuickBooks Information window.
  4. Wait until the repair is done. Then, click OK.
  5. Then, go back to the File menu and select Utilities and choose Verify Data.
  6. Click OK if QuickBooks doesn't find any problems. Or Rebuild Now if it finds issues with your company file.

 

If you still get the same issue, let's try running the QuickBooks File Doctor to fix common issues. 

 

  1. Open your QuickBooks Tool Hub.
  2. Select Company File Issues.
  3. Click Quick Fix my File.
  4. Choose OK when it completes and launch your QuickBooks.

I am on QB online, and every time I send an invoice or receipt it sends 2 copies.  I tried clearing the cache and it did not help.
