Currently, there is an ongoing investigation into the Product/service line-item order changes when printing invoices. Rest assured that our Engineering Team is dedicated to working for them to implement a solution that will fix this issue.

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Navigate to the (?) Help section. Which will bring up the QuickBooks Assistant window.
  3. In the Type or Ask Something field, enter your inquiry.
  4. Press Enter on your keyboard to send it.
  5. Choose Talk to a human.

Thanks for the information, I did call and get on the notification list. Unfortunately due to the delay in a resolution I was force to purcahse another software to prepare our invoices that were suppose to go out by 9/30. I am finding this has been a known years for a couple days, and was a known issue back in 2019.

Currently, the investigation is still in progress. I assure you that our product engineers are now looking into this matter. I would recommend contacting our support staff so they can provide you with an update. Here are the methods for contacting our support team. If you have not yet been added as one of the affected users, you can click this link to contact our Customer Support Team to be included. And fixing this as soon as possible. Once the issue is fixed, you'll receive an email confirmation to the email address added as the affected user.

New on quickbooks online, and this issue was brought up almost a year ago. Still be worked on?

Please know that the order of your products and services listed on the invoice is also maintained when printing. If your items get rearranged when you print, I recommend troubleshooting your browser to resolve unexpected issues caused by corrupted data.

March of 2026 and same issue!!! FRUSTRATING! Since I converted from Quickbooks desktop to Quickbooks online I've has nothing but trouble.  Very dissatisfied!

I understand you’ve been dealing with this since your conversion, Tand. To clarify, Invoice line items will print in the same order you’ve listed them.
