Wondering why November 1 recurring invoices did not go out this month?

Hi there, karen142.

I'll provide information and steps so your recurring invoice will process every month.

It could be the recurring invoices was not properly set up in QuickBooks. That's the reason the November 1 recurring entry did not go through. With this, I'd suggest making sure your recurring template is set up as scheduled and has not reached its end date.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Under Lists, select Recurring Transactions.
  3. Find the template for the transaction that was not created.
  4. Select Edit in the Action column.
  5. Make sure the Type is set to Scheduled and End is set to the appropriate end date/number of occurrences.

If the issue persists, I'd recommend deleting the recurring invoices and recreating a new one. This way, you're able to verify if you get the same issue for next Interval. Please note to check this every month to monitor this situation so we can verify the cause of the issue.

Here's how to delete:

  1. Go to the recurring templates list.
  2. Locate the template.
  3. Select Edit in the Action column.
  4. Click Delete.

To recreate:

  1. Click the Gear icon.
  2. Select Recurring Transactions.
  3. Click New. Then, choose Invoice from the drop-down list.
  4. Click OK and fill in the needed information.
  5. Once done, hit Save and Close.
