Working Trial Balance in QB Desktop

Is there a way to get a Working Trial Balance in QB Desktop?  I want to be able to see the beginning balances, then the activity for the year/month/etc and then ending balance.  I would not like to enter every transaction as a journal entry.

Everything thing I have found online has shown how to do this in QB Online which is not possible for use to use in this situation.

We have QB 2019 Accountant Desktop, QB Premier Accountant 2020 and QB Enterprise 19.0.  I can start the company in any of these.

Working Trial Balance in QB Desktop

QuickBooks Desktop allows you to do a Trial Balancesusanwcacct

The date range  can be changed to suit your business needs on either entering or customizing it. I've got the steps you'll need on how to accomplish the tasks. Here's how to do it:

  1. Go to the Reports menu, select Accountant and Taxes.
  2. Click Trial Balance.
  3. Change the date range on the report.

The following steps should help you pull up the Trial Balance report in QB Desktop.

You can use this article that contains about editing the display, filters, and creating reports in QBDT: Customize reports in QuickBooks Desktop

Please keep me updated if you have any other customization questions in QuickBooks. I'm always here to help.
