Use tardies and absences report in QuickBooks Time

SOLVEDby QuickBooks8Updated January 15, 2024

Learn how to run and use the tardies and absences report for team members who have shifts in the Schedule in QuickBooks Time.

Notes:

  • This report only applies to team members assigned to a shift in QuickBooks Time Schedule who have a clock in and clock out time (not manual hours).
  • A tardy is reported when a team member didn't clock in at the scheduled time.
  • An absence is reported when a team member didn't clock in at any time during the scheduled shift.
  • Team members who are currently clocked in won't display as tardy on the report. You might want to run the report again at the end of the workday.
  • Only group or crew managers and team members granted the Manage timesheets for all team member permission can edit the tardies report.
  • Only tardies can be edited. To change an absence, you must manually add the hours worked. Go to Time Entries.

Run the report

  1. Go to Reports, select Schedule Reports, then Tardies.
  2. Select the team members to include in the report.
  3. For Report Dates, select how you want it filtered, then select the dates.
  4. To select the minimum number of minutes late to include on the report, for Tardy (Minutes), select 1, 5, 10, or 20.
    • For example, if you select 5, team members who were 1-4 minutes late won't be included in the report.
  5. Select Run Report.
  6. (Optional) Select Include absences.
  7. (Optional) To print the report, select Print printer.
  8. (Optional) To download a spreadsheet, select Download.csv
