Moving to the Clouds

Happy Friday, everyone! Welcome back to the Talk About Your Business page! Today, I wanted to share this article by TechRadar about the benefits of moving your business to the cloud. Here are some key benefits they provided:                                                           cloud banner .png

Reduce Cost
Let's be honest, we are always looking for ways to reduce costs. It could be as simple as signing up for clothing brands or restaurants' email subscriptions to get a discount. Moving to the cloud can reduce the upfront cost of computer equipment from different devices to save information. However, you could simply pay a monthly or annual subscription with the ability to upgrade or downgrade and extend your storage, depending on your business needs. The author even highlighted that your energy bill could also be reduced, allowing you to save money and allocate it to the firm's other needs.

Foster Collaboration
Imagine having employees all over the world all working or collaboration on a project. It seems wild, right, but it can happen. Using the cloud allows access to files, edit or share documents any time and anywhere. Employees will be able to update information in real-time, even on their mobile devices, while on the go. One example of this that comes to mind is Google Docs, but other third-party apps do this as well.

Better Environment
If your firm believes in corporate social responsibility then, reducing your carbon footprint plays a role in your planning and operations. One company practicing this is Starbucks. They are trying to be completely straw less and design straw less lids to reduce their carbon footprint. Thus far, this new design has been used throughout the US and Canada and slowly into the Asian markets. By outsourcing, less energy is spent on storing your data.

If you already have moved your business to the cloud, do you believe it is worth it? Please let us know in the comments below. We look forward to seeing your responses. Until then, continue to be safe and be well, my Community friends.
