I am just getting started... need to set up my 1st client who farms/ranches.. crops and cattle. Does anyone have a easy chart of accounts in a csv file they would be willing to share or know where I can get one?
You need to download IRS Pub 225, there are special rules for farmers and ranchers
Best option is to get the IRS tax form you will file, structure your chart of accounts to match, and use sub accounts to track detail within each area, ie
utilies expense:
>>elect >>water etc etc
