Hello, everyone. I hope you're enjoying your Wednesday. I wanted to stop by today and discuss a topic that I think would be useful as we begin to see businesses slowly opening back up, but still have some restrictions in place. As you may have noticed in the title, that topic is video marketing. What exactly is video marketing? This strategy is referred to as "the act of creating videos to market a specific business and its products/services."
Video marketing is very flexible and can be used across a wide variety of platforms. Some of these platforms include YouTube, social media such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and even Snapchat, and your customer's email. Covering all of these platforms with your video(s) is a sure way to reach the maximum amount of potential customers.
In addition to the large array of areas to share your video, the content can be just as expansive. A few examples of what to include are:
- Demonstrative videos
A demo video takes your viewers through a detailed presentation of how your product or service works. Offers an idea of what customers can expect from your business.
- Livestream
Live videos are a great tactic to employ as you can actively engage with your viewers. You can show them what you're working on at that very moment, they can ask questions or provide feedback, and you can respond in real time.
- Background
These types of videos are a way to share your business story or inspiration. Introduce yourself and your team, give a tour of your office or warehouse. This is a great way to show you're real and how some fan favorite products or services came to be.
- Testimonials
Testimonials of customer experiences are an excellent way to show that actual people are purchasing AND enjoying products or services from your business. This credibility may be just the boost you need.
