1099 Vendor Information Missing

I'm unable to see the vendor info on the related 1099 despite the address and tax ID being visible when I click to view Vendor info. When I go to file the 1099 for this vendor, I get an error that says address and Tax ID are missing, despite it clearly being there and even re-entering it several times. Any ideas?

1099 Vendor Information Missing

Thanks for joining this thread, @1099Maven. Let me provide some insights and steps on how to fix your concern.

When you see the message regarding missing info, are the names of the contractors displayed in red? I understand you checked their profiles. Is the address correct? Specifically, the zip codes? Have you selected which form, 1099 NEC or 1099 MISC?

For now, you can start by updating the information. If the problem remains, let's try utilizing a private browser to access your account. The browser may become clogged with regularly viewed website resources, resulting in errors.

You can use either of these keyboard shortcuts to access one:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: Command Shift N

Prepare your 1099-NEC form after that. Return to your regular browser and clear the cache if this works. It is to avoid any unwelcome activity. If not, you can use one of the other supported browsers.

Finally, if the problem persists after following the procedures above, I recommend contacting our support team. This way, they can look into it further and take the required steps to correct it.

1099 Vendor Information Missing

 Hi there, @HowardSpeier.

Can you share with me more details about your concern in QuickBooks Online?

If you're trying to map your 1099's, let's make sure that you've paid $600 or more to an entity or an independent contractor/vendor in exchange for their services.
