Thank you for your detailed response, leepettijohn!
I also like the idea of adding sales tax to bank transactions. I see that this will save a lot of time because it eliminates the need to create sales receipts.
While this isn’t an option right now, feel free to submit a suggestion by going to the Gear icon and selecting Feedback. I'll do the same on my end, including the one you raised about transactions downloaded from Zapier.

Great to see you here, @leepettijohn. Thanks for your concern today.
We can add a tax rate and agency in QuickBooks Online. Here's how:
You also want to set up a sales tax so QuickBooks can automatically do the sales tax calculations for you on your invoices and receipts for easy and accurate filings.

Hi, @leepettijohn.
Hope you’re doing great. I wanted to see how everything is going about adding sales tax to categorize banking transaction concerns. Was it resolved?
Do you need any additional help or clarification? If you do, just let me know. I’d be happy to help you at any time.
Looking forward to your reply. Have a pleasant day ahead!
Hey Katherine,
Thanks for the reply. The question really isn't about how to add a sales tax rate. I have that done and works well.
What I need to know is how to add that tax rate to a banking transaction. We have multiple transactions coming in and they're all for the same thing. So, what I do right now is create a sales receipt for every deposit banking transaction and then match it in the Banking tab.
What would be nice, is if I can add sales tax to the banking transactions so I can just click "Add" in Banking and not have to manually add a receipt every time.
Otherwise, it would be amazing if I could upload a CSV of sales receipts if the above is not possible.
Or ... (last thing I promise) if you could have your developers reach out to the Zapier developers and figure out how to incorporate sales tax into your API so that I didn't have to manually change it to a specific sales tax rate for every receipt.
I know this is a lot and if you want to get a hold of me, we can setup a time to talk. Just email me at [email address removed].
Thanks. =)

Thanks for writing back so quick and I'm glad you like my ideas. It's always nice to know you're not the only crazy one out there. I've been trying to get someone to fix the Zapier thing for a while and have requested multiple times and no one ever gets back to me. (sigh). c'est la vie.
Hope you have a great week and thanks for chatting.
