Can I connect and pay state taxes with quickbooks self-employed?

Hi there, @liz139. You can't connect and pay state taxes with QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE). I'll share more details below.

 

QBSE is specifically created for self-employed individuals, focusing on monitoring income and expenses, estimating federal taxes, and generating basic financial reports. It only calculates federal estimated quarterly taxes.

 

To get your state's estimated tax information, check the IRS' list of state's department of revenue sites. They should also tell you how to make tax payments. If you don't see your state, you can reach out to your state's tax franchise board or department of revenue.
