Yes, you can file your sales tax electronically if your business operates in one of the six states that have the e-file service available in QuickBooks Online.
If your state is included, here are the steps to file your sales tax:
To view the six states where sales tax e-file services are available in QuickBooks and learn about any additional subscriptions required, please refer to this article: File and Pay Sales Tax: File and pay sales tax.
If your state is not on that list, you will need to e-file on your tax agency's website or send your return by mail. After you file your sales tax return, you can then manually record the payment in QuickBooks to zero out your sales tax payable.
