Customers not showing up as tax exempt on mobile ver?

Customers who are entered as tax exempt do not show up as TE when using mobile.  Items that are TE post to invoice correctly on mobile but TE customers appear as non tax exempt although entered as TE.   Invoice applies taxes as if they are tax able customers?

Customers not showing up as tax exempt on mobile ver?

I hope you're having a good day, Jlf656.

I've tried this in my company and I was able to see the customer as tax-exempt using the mobile app. When an application is not working properly, we do some troubleshooting steps to refresh the settings.

We can start by closing and re-starting the app. Next, clear the app's data by following these steps:

  • Android: Tap MoreSettings Refresh Data, and then choose Yes.
  • iOS: Tap Menu > Help & Feedback Refresh Data, and then select Refresh.

Finally, restart your phone. Sign in using the mobile app and try creating a sales transaction. If you still don't see the tax exempt tag on the customer, then you can uninstall/Reinstall the app.

Otherwise, contact our Customer Care Team for further investigation. Note: Please use a different device from the one we will be helping you with and then check our support hours here: Support hours and types.

You can request for a callback or start a chat by following these steps:

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks account using the web browser, and click the Help icon located in the upper right-hand corner.
  2. In the Help window, click the Contact Us button located at the bottom.
  3. Enter your question and click Let's talk.
  4. Select Start messaging or Get a callback.

Please keep us posted on how the call went. We are always available to help you some more. Thanks.
