E-Filed W2s - NO Email Confirmation

I E-filed my W2s on Jan 18 but still have not received an e-mail confirmation.  I have received confirmation e-mails for all past years.  How can I confirm that my W2s were submitted to and accepted by the SSA?

Hello, MAYGEA.


Let's check the status of your filling so we can determine the proper action to take. I'll show you how.


  1. Go to the Taxes, then Payroll Tax.
  2. Select Filings.
  3. Click Archived forms and filings.

If the status is completed or accepted, I suggest getting in touch with our QuickBooks Online Support. They have the tools to pull up your account and further investigate to determine the root cause of this.


Here's how:


  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Go to Help (?).
  3. Select Contact Us.
  4. Enter your concern, then select Let's talk.
  5. Choose Start a chat or Get a callback.

E-Filed W2s - NO Email Confirmation

Thank you,  I have called and confirmed with QBO that my forms were showing in the system as being filed on 1/17 and accepted on 1/18.  I was told that I did not receive an email confirmation because I do not have QBO Automatically pay/file my taxes.
