efiling federal withholding taxes

I efiled my federal withholding taxes on 02/11/2021 and they have yet to come out of my bank account.  They usually come out on the 15th or 16th.  Intuit shows they have been submitted.  How can I find out what the problem is???

efiling federal withholding taxes

Hi there, wjs3. I'm here to provide information about e-payment status.

The status term submitted means that the e-payment or e-filed form has been submitted to Intuit but not yet transmitted to the receiving agency. Once the agency processed the e-payment or e-filed form successfully, the status will change to Accepted.

To know how to check the status of your e-filing or e-payment, see this article: Check e-filing or e-payment status.

Feel free to drop a comment below if you have any other questions about using QuickBooks. I'll be happy to help you further. Have a great day.

efiling federal withholding taxes

My epayment for my federal withholding just says submitted.  I submitted it on the 11th, it is now the 20th and it has still not come out of my bank account, it was due at the IRS by the 15th so now it is 5 days late. I have not received an email stating what the problem is.  I really need to talk to a support person.  Is Quickbooks going to pay my late penalty with the IRS.  Please have someone contact me...

Thanks for coming back here, @wjs3,

As long as you submitted the form before the e-filing due date, it should be considered timely by the receiving agency. Also, you will receive a confirmation email will include details of the scheduled payment date as well as a confirmation number sent to us by the IRS.

You can use that tracking number when contacting the IRS and confirming if they receive your payment. The withdrawal of the funds is done by the agency, so they are the best ones to contact in cases like this.

Normally, federal tax payments are debited from your bank the IRS on the payment date. If the payment isn't withdrawn on time, you must contact IRS and have them check the e-payment.

If you don't have the tracking number, contact our Support Team so they can check on it for you. To contact our representatives, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Help menu then select Contact us.
  2. Enter the keyword Payroll, Account Management and Billing in the What can we help you with? box.
  3. On the next screen, scroll down to the Choose a way to connect with us section.
  4. Choose Start messaging to initiate a discussion with a live agent or Get a call for callbacks.
  5. When using the messaging option, make sure to enable pop-up windows. The chat box will appear at the bottom right section of your monitor, and an agent will be with you after filling in the information needed. See this:

When you're connected, provide all the information about your concern or request a viewing session with out representative.

Kindly update me with the result. I want to make sure this is taken care of and the issue is resolved immediately. Have a good one!

I’ve got you covered, @Whollycow07.

Thanks for joining this thread and letting us know your concern about your federal filing status.

Since all documents needed are submitted already, I recommended contacting the IRS to verify what caused the delay. They can provide you information about this matter directly. Concerning contact information, we’re unable to provide it here in the Community. Not to worry, as long as you submitted them before the e-filing due date, the form will be considered timely.
